    Hello Paul and others – Thanks for your views and nothing with which I would disagree. The first five minutes of the encounter had me fuming as intended pass after pass failed to reach its target and whilst our possession statistics once again were impressive, I just wonder over the course of the ninety minutes plus how many of the intended passes went astray as our play from this aspect was frankly, awful.
    Also, why is it that we are unable to defend set pieces. Unless someone takes responsibility for this feature of our game, we are going to ship a calamitous number of goals this season.
    As you rightly state, our lack of activity in the transfer market leaves us weak in many areas. And again as you report, some of the team seemed “tired” which is not acceptable considering this was only the fourth league match.
    I suspect that Pompey will relish the prospect of our meeting on Saturday which if the match goes in their favour will probably result in the City being in the bottom three.
    I think my glass is half-empty.
