    Hi Paul and thanks.
Bit quiet on here so thought I would chip in.
However, as per usual, you have pretty much covered everything about the match that I was thinking!
Firstly, it was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon’s entertainment with the
City playing some lovely stuff and demonstrating that we can compete at this level again. When I saw the United team – and subs – I was fearful as recognised numerous players with Premier League experience. I thought we might struggle.
After our great start we did struggle again defensively – stupid errors leading to both goals – but then gradually took a hold of the game and never really let up for the last hour or so.
We look very threatening in attack mode and I do think Ashford seems to be finding little pockets of space in his new role and , with his quick feet, is carving out some great opportunities. Refreshing to see after some of the stick he has been getting recently.
Moylan continues to look a class act and Rueben really comfortable driving forward to cause mayhem. If anything, Salech slightly off the pace and surely can’t complain about the delivery and service this time as he had a few half chances he should have taken.
Our new signing settled in well after the first 15 minutes and also proved a handful at corners – nearly nicking it for us late on. Seems like the imposing, commanding presence we definitely need at the back. I also thought that Osho played well and used his pace and reading of the game to good effect.
Bit of a concern that we haven’t won yet, but sure it will come soon as long as we continue to play in that positive style and eliminate the defensive errors and poor starts.
Hopefully one or two new signings by tomorrow’s deadline – a fast winger and a striker ideally – and we should be well set to climb up the table.
