Hi Paul,
Thanks for the update.
Like you, I am fairly relaxed about the transfer situation but hadn’t appreciated the premium for Championship players until you highlighted the issue. Likely to be a big factor for us, but trust that BBM and the recruitment team are already on it and working away in the background? Not sure what happened to the Charlie Savage rumours that were rife a few weeks back?
Nothing on WalesOnline, but that doesn’t surprise me as they appear to have given up on reporting anything in any depth any more! Their coverage of the Wales U19 matches – and recent Wales women’s matches – either non-existent or negligible. Peculiar state of affairs for the “ National Newspaper of Wales”! As an aside, they also seem to have completely given up on cricket reporting as well these days – thank goodness for the BBC Sport website.
Ok, rant over and back to enjoying the World Cup as it gets to the sharp end now. Enjoyed it more than I thought and wonder how we would have fared if we had got there? We will never know?
