Six decades of Cardiff City v Hull City games.

CoymayTime constraints mean that I’ve not been able to give this as much attention as usual and so there is different format to this week’s quiz. This time, I’ll just ask one question which has six answers:

Name six different Welsh Internationals who have played for Hull City in one of the decades covered by my blog – that is a Hull City Welsh international who played for them in the 60’s, another one from the 70’s etc. etc.

Some of the decades have seen more than one Welsh international turn out for them, but the answers I’ll put on here tomorrow will be the names of the six players I thought of first of all when setting the question – I’ll be back asking questions in the normal format ahead of next week’s match with Spurs.

Answers – as I mentioned above, I’m sure there are other names that come to mind (e.g. Nick Deacy), but here are the names I thought of when setting the question;-

60’s. Alan Jarvis.

70’s. Dave Roberts.

80’s. Tony Norman.

90’s. Jason Perry.

00’s. Sam Ricketts.

10’s. Boaz Myhill.

Update on yesterday’s “FAO dalseren FAW apologist.” post.

CoymayJust a quick post to say that I’ve just had a telephone conversation with someone involved with the decision making process in the FAW who wanted to answer some of the points made in my piece and some of the criticisms of the organisation which have been appearing on some Cardiff City messageboards since the Serbia game on Tuesday.

Essentially what this person wanted to get across is that, far from being the closed shop that many think it to be, the  FAW is crying out for new, and younger, people to get involved. There is a recognition of the need for new ideas and  he encouraged anyone who is contemplating standing for election to throw their hat into the ring. I asked him if somebody who supported a club that has stayed in the English pyramid system would be at a disadvantage if they stood for election against others who were affiliated to clubs competing in the Welsh system, but he denied that this would be the case.

I’d just say that, having had dealings with this person on another matter, I’ve no reason to doubt the sincerity of what he says – I’m happy to give him the right to reply, so to speak, to what I said and it would be good if some people who felt they could make a difference came forward to take up his invitation.
