  1. Dai Woosnam says:

I remember dear Trevor Edwards, a fellow Rhondda boy, very well indeed.
How I recall his superb diving header equaliser at Molineux in season 60/61. Aged 13, I went to the game with my buddy David ‘bullet’ Rees* and two other boys. We travelled by train from Porth, and after the game we caught a bus to Lower Gornal where his uncle ran a pub and he fed the four of us… taking us back to Wolverhampton railway station for the last train to Cardiff… which arrived too late for the Treherbert train, so the brother of one of the other lads took us home by car.

Edwards was a very genuine player who always gave 100%.

Changing the subject, I have just woken from a post-prandial nap, and a vivid little dream. It seems that the FAW had decided to ‘go foreign’ for their next manager, and concluded that they wanted a Turk with Welsh connections.

Imagine my disappointment to find it had all been a dream?!
