Just a short piece to report on the day’s developments regarding Norwich’s reported interest in bringing Malky Mackay in as their manager to replace Paul Lambert who was confirmed as Aston Villa’s new boss this weekend. Earlier this morning, the local media reported that Norwich Chief Executive David McNally had, seemingly, ruled our manager out as a candidate for the vacancy at his club because he didn’t fit the criteria set for for the new man in charge at Carrow Road.
Since then Malky Mackay and Chief Executive Alan Whiteley have issued short statements on the official site and it seems pretty certain that any talk of our manager leaving, for Norwich anyway, can be put on the back burner. Indeed, supporters have already homed in on the part of Malky’s statement which read ” the club’s owner Vincent Tan is committed to major investment in Cardiff, more of which will become apparent later this week.” – maybe, we are going to get some news on what was decided following the Board meeting on 15 May after all?
