With a lot of help from my brother (thanks Sean!), here’s something different this week. Click on the link below to be taken to a Cardiff City related crossword which should be a bit easier than some of the quizzes I’ve put on here every week during the lockdown.
Some of the clues are hard, but there are some simple ones as well which should at least give you some letters for the tougher ones.
The crossword is in PDF form, so you should be able to print a paper copy if you prefer that.
I’ll put the answers on here towards the end of the week.
Answers
Firstly I should apologise for a couple of errors in compiling the crossword concerning 11 down and 21 down.
For the first one, I’ve been waiting for the first mistake to come up in the anagram clues I’ve been setting in the quizzes in recent months, but, unfortunately, it came up in a crossword! The anagram as set in the clue was for “the wash” and a letter t as in “the leader”, but the answer was Matthews, so I messed up with too many h’s and no letter M I’m afraid.
As for 21 down, it was a clue that needed research to answer, but, sadly, mine was faulty because, besides the answer, which was Wycombe, Whitts also scored for Villa in a Premier League match with Portsmouth.
Apologies for these mistakes – I promise to do better when next I put a crossword on here!
