With Tony Watt’s loan move perhaps being made permanent and Russel Slade talking of the need to get in a target man striker to replace Kenwyne Jones, Mason will need more goals to keep his place in the starting line up, but it should be remembered that he is now our outright top scorer again and we don’t have many strikers who instinctively put themselves in the right position at the right time when the ball is bouncing around six yards from our opponent’s goal.*
