Let’s keep this simple.
Like myself most supporters feel that Slade is not the man to take us forward and it’s time for Mr Tan to replace him.
Let’s look at the facts.
Last year played five – 9points
This year played 4 – 6pts
Lose on Saturday and we are going backwards again!!
Tan bring in Carl Robinson now before it’s too late. This Manager has the potential to become a great Manager and I have now doubt he would take us up this year if given the opportunity.
Management changes please not players. The Squad built by Malky and Ole are good players, we just need someone with leadership skills and a pro licence. ‘just do it’ Mr Tan please.
I think it time for tan to get rid of slade and try get nigel pearson before its to late
Thanks both for your replies, but I honestly don’t see Slade leaving any time soon. He’s Tan’s own choice and, even if he is isn’t happy with the job Slade is doing, he knows sacking him would be admission that he got it wrong – again. On the other hand, my suspicion is that our owner is pleased with the job our manager is doing because, in financial terms at least, he’s probably doing just what Tan wanted him to do when the appointment was made – I also have this feeling that the current manager is more willing to indulge Mr Tan than the two previous ones were.
Well Tan has got it wrong in bringing in Slade so admit it like you did with the Colour of our kit and returning to our Blue. We have the players so let’s get a manager in who can get the team to breath fire and be proud of the shirt they are wearing let’s get up and running. Swansea has proved it so come on Bluebirds lets get it going
Here is a song for Alan Jones (19).
BTW, Alan, it is “Vincent” or “Mr Tan” please…not “Tan”.
(On this site, the moderator is Politeness Personified.)
So at least Alan, please show some RESPECT to the greatest benefactor your club has ever seen, even if you think him wrong on the shirt colour issue.
Be thankful to Mr Tan for his magnanimity in the face of coarse racist insults that sped his way for two full years…magnified when the Echo shamefully decided to jump on the shirt colour bandwagon, in an effort to stem falling circulation numbers.
This gave the boo boys greater impetus…literally put fuel in their tanks.
I speak as someone who came to the shirt colour issue, from the position of the late Dannie Abse: i.e. I would have preferred it if Vincent had not decided on red, but no doubt, I could have come – eventually – to have lived with it.
Anyway, Alan, here is the song, to be sung (with feeling and brio) to the melody of that fine old German Christmas song O Tannenbaum.
It is written with apologies to Jim Connell and his fine words (written way back in 1889) to his great socialist anthem.
THE CARDIFF SHIRT IS DEEPEST BLUE
WE FOUGHT WITH VINCENT FOR THAT HUE
HE WANTED US GARBED LIKE MAN U
WE FOUND THAT JUST TOO HARD TO DO
(chorus)
RAISE THE ROYAL-BLUE STANDARD HIGH
BENEATH ITS FOLDS WE’LL PLAY AND DIE
THOUGH WURZELS SCORN AND JACK FANS SNEER
WE’LL CHEER OUR BLUE TEAM SCORING HERE.

BTW Paul… a couple of points.
1. I have decided not to attempt further verses as soccer fans never sing them in any song.
2. I have been away from your site for two or three weeks…and have just had my first view of your changed format.
Mark Twain once opined “Progress was all right once…but it went on too long”. As ever, our Mr Clemens hit the nail firmly on the head there.
Is there any chance of reverting to your old colour scheme? Much easier on the eye.
But don’t get me wrong: what you do is a real labour of love..so ours NOT to reason why !!
Kindest,
Dai.
Welcome back, Dai. We’ve missed you!
Nice to see you back Dai. I’m afraid the theme I’d used for the last couple of years packed up after I posted the piece on the MK Dons game and it’s still not working and so I had to switch to the only one that enabled me to keep the photo of the promotion celebrations in 12/13. I could have kept on using the old theme, but, for some reason, it wasn’t allowing any feedback to new posts – I thought it best to change because I think the replies my postings get are an essential part of the blog.
As ever Paul, your comments are much appreciated by me.
And now you have explained the nitty gritty behind the blog colour change, I am fully understanding of the reason for you taking the option you took.
One amusing aspect of it all is that – being the gent you are – you resisted the temptation to hole me below the waterline, by making a sardonic comment on ME of all people complaining about the colour schemes of the blog, seeing as I was never a chap to lose any sleep over Vincent’s colour change!
(So, I will punch MYSELF on my inviting chin!)
And as for the last 14 words of your comment…well, what can I say in response to that?
I can hardly disagree with any of THAT…can I now!!?
Kindest, (and looking suitably bashful),
Dai.

Oh …and thanks to AMO for his good wishes.
I am AMO’s number one fan…even if he is not the unreconstructed Charles Hughes fan that I am.
(Having said that, who IS …?!)
But then, back in the distant bachelor days when I still had a libido, I never needed a copy of the Kama Sutra by my bedside. When I looked at the fairer sex, it was always the POMO of Charles, that ruled my tactical thinking !!
Kindest,
Dai.
