  1. Clive Harry says:

Thanks Paul. I enjoyed the game and thought there was some good one touch football but it was definitely a game of four quarters rather than two halves with City and Marco Waymans prominent early on before Leeds upped the ante before and after half time resulting in their equaliser. I feared the worst then but City brought on Eli Phipps to assist Healey up front and the latter looked much more threatening with a superb header cleared off the line before tucking away a chance for the winner. Thinking about the game afterwards, the main things that sprang to mind were a superb, reflex save by Luke O’Reilly, Tom James’s ability in the air, and the fact that Rhys Healey is always dangerous in the box given the right service.
Well worth a Monday afternoon out with a few more games scheduled for the same time.

Yes, I’d agree with that summing up Clive – thought James was the better of our two full backs yesterday. Also, that save by O’Reilly was brilliant wasn’t it, I hope it’s in the highlights package on the club’s website when it appears.

Thanks Paul, as I can’t make these games Its great you provide a report,as I guess we can’t relybon the so call press in our area, unless of course it was a rugby game.

It does baffle me why we don’t see academy players like Healey a chance, as a forward he wouldn’t pose a risk to a game comming on for twenty minutes, it’s not like your thrusting a keeper or a defender into a critical role. The other point to consider perhaps is , why other clubs have not bid for him either, as he must be known after his goal scoring record at this level. Same can be said of Tommy O’ Sullivan, I guess.

    Thanks again Paul.
