60s. A policeman’s hat. Eddie Cavanagh was the Everton fan who ran on to the pitch in the 1966 FA Cup Final against Sheffield Wednesday and prompted a chase involving a couple of policeman, one of whom lost his hat – this famous photo shows Brian Harris wearing it in the background.

70s. David Grant is second from the left in the back row, Jimmy Mullen second from the left in the middle row and Gordon Owen is sat second from the right in the front row – the former City player is Andy McCulloch who is on the right of the back row.
