Six decades of Cardiff City v Ipswich matches.

CoymayPretty tough one this week I reckon – answers tomorrow.

60’s. Name the player who came on as a substitute for us in our 1-0 win over Ipswich in October 1965 – couple of clues for you, two months earlier he had become the first ever substitute to be used by the club in a league game and also, his brother was on our books at the time.

70’s. We only played Ipswich once in this decade. It was in a Third Round FA Cup match in 1978 – Ipswich won 2-0, but can you name the four Cardiff born players in our starting eleven that day?

80’s. Name the Ipswich player, who made nearly 300 appearances for the club after signing for them in 1984, who was arrested at customs because the friend he was with was carrying pornographic material in his luggage.

90’.s Name the Everton player who made one appearance for us while on loan in 1990 and then signed for Ipswich the following year,  making fifty appearances for them (many of them being in the Premier League).

00’s. Name the foreign player who made one of what were just three appearances for City when he came on a sub in the 1-0 home defeat by Ipswich in March 2005.

10’s. Two players who appeared against us in Ipswich’s 1-0 win at Portman Road on the opening day of the 05/06 season were also in the squad of a team we faced at Cardiff City Stadium within the last month – can you name them.
