Six decades of Cardiff City v Chelsea games.

CoymayBack to the normal format this week, six questions with a City/Chelsea connection – answers tomorrow.

60’s. The last match between the two sides in this decade was a 1-0 win for City at Ninian Park in February 1963, which member of our team that day emigrated to Australia in the following year?

70’s. City played Chelsea three times in this decade and lost each time, but what event, almost as rare as a sighting of Haley’s Comet, occurred in the last of these games?

80’s. What colours did Chelsea play in during their 2-1 League Cup defeat at Ninian Park in October 1986?

90’s. Easy one this, name the Chelsea player who had a loan spell at Cardiff in 91/92 and which other player in our squad that season started his career at Stamford Bridge?

00’s. This player had a spell with us during this decade and then went on to win Champions League and FA Cup winners medals, can you name him?

10’s. In the FA Cup tie between the sides in February 2010, the Chelsea squad featured three players who had played for Welsh clubs or would do so in the future  – one of this trio is the answer to the previous question, but can you name the other two and also, name the player, now at Luton, who featured for City that day.
