Well, I was there .. and it takes almost as long to get from my home in London to Norwich as it does to take up my Ninian Stand season ticket seat at home in Cardiff ..
.. but, yes, you’re right : again and again our midfield was neither stopping Norwich from building attacks nor setting up attacks for our ‘forwards’.. essentially we didn’t use posession when we had it .. lumping the ball upfield in the air NEVER worked .. our supporters cheered wildly – from amazed disbelief – when we managed to put three/four passes together ON THE GROUND GOING FORWARD .. and, well-placed free kicks and corners from Whitts? How many actually lead to goals? And yesterday’s penalty miss .. ? And Gunnars long throws – how many are headed clear by the other side? Dunno but certainly most .. but they do cause agitation among opposing defenders. I’d keep him in – not for the long throws, but for the on-field leadership I think he can provide, as he does for Iceland.
What now? I’m with you – Harris, Ralls, John to start .. and when will Joe Mason be back? Noone should practise centreing the ball accurately .. everyone should practise shooting from just outside the box .. and everyone should be fined a week’s wages if they’re guilty of hoofing the ball upfield to our non-existent 7’6″ forwards without seeing first if the ball could be passed hard and quick to other players in the same colour shirt.
Oh, and Simon Moore was excellent – he doesn’t deserve to have 3 goals listed against him.

    Very interesting issues here Graham.
I have now had the chance to see the highlights and to be fair we had at least 7 players in the 18yd box on all of their goals. This would indicate to me that players are not supporting each other and poorly organised. Over to you Mr Slade sort it now or suffer the consequences. Roles and responsibilities are crucial here in order to find the right solution to the problem.
A failure to get a result against Boro would unfortunately be the beginning of the end for Russell. To date his management of change has been very poor indicating to me he is not a leader of people. I must also question whether he has the technical nous at Championship level. Hope I am wrong here as he appears to be a nice person.

watched quite a few of city’s games here in australia this season, tackling in our defensive half is poor, and the midfield stands out poorly, it’s not working as a unit at all,you need your midfield working as a link with the forwards to provide good service to the strikers, but also to create chances from the midfield themselves, this is clearly not happening.also to work as a link with the backs in defence to take pressure off the backs, this clearly stands out as a lot of the opposition sides are running rampant through the midfield without pressure, thus putting the defence under immediate pressure, also city’s midfield choices of passing are poor, giving up easy possession to opposition sides and not much effort or urgency in winning the ball back. i can’t understand why buying so many forwards is necessary when you got no service to give them, i would look at getting a couple of hard working midfielders who want and will have a go.THIS IS JUST MY OBSERVATION FROM THE GAMES I HAVE SEEN THIS SEASON, FROM A EX FOOTBALLER AND AMATEUR COACH AND PROUD 45YR BLUEBIRD SUPPORTER.

Agree with everything the Mauve and Yellow Army say’s wish he was our manager maybe we wouldn’t be in the dismal position we are in now but Kim wasn’t mentioned we must give that talented footballer a chance he would never hoof the ball up field.
