Good points Paul.
I personally would like to remain blue because I have never known anything else. However if the club/fans choose red, then so be it. But it should be a smart british red and not something that looks like it was bought at a Spansh seaside resort.
I am not bothered too much about the badge, even though I think the current one is beautifully classic.
I am however worried about the name. Something deep in the pit of my stomach smells a slow creeping change from Cardiff City to Cardiff City Dragons and eventually Cardiff Dragons. Slowly but surely over a period of time loosing our identity.
I want us to remain Cardiff City and I do not want to end up supporting The Cardiff Dragons, the Cardiff Rhino’s the Cardiff Mamuths or the Cardiff Tyrannosaures Rex’s or anything like that which smacks of American or Asien polyester football.
This worries me and my experience of businessmen tells me that what they promise today they have forgotten tomorrow. As the German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer said.. “I dont give a damn about what I said yesterday!”
I am concerned about our name.

Morning Adrian. Yes, the name is the thing which would see me change my attitude. I think I’ve made it clear that I’m almost indifferent about our colours, nickname and badge, but any change to the name would have me wondering how much longer the owners would see Cardiff as the club’s base.
In saying that mind, yesterday’s news brings the fear that there won’t be a Football League club to support in Cardiff (franchise style move or not) in the future into sharper focus. My fear is that administration would be inevitable if Vincent Tan pulled the plug and our debts are so big that we would find attracting a buyer virtually impossible.
Hopefully, the next few days will see some sort of compromise reached which will make things look rosier next week, but I’m not too hopeful.
By the way, I meant to send you a link to the thread I started on the messageboard about your father last week – here it is;

Hope you and Tony are well.

Thanks Adrian – it seems that those who saw your Dad play rated him highly.
