Morning Dai and thanks for your comments. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before on here that I think we have been spoiled as far as centrebacks go over the past decade or so and I don't rate Mark Hudson in the class of Gabbidon, Collins, Johnson and Loovens (when he was playing for us at least). That said, I've always thought that he was a good player at Championship level and I don't share the low opinion that you (and a good deal of other City fans) have of him - I think he's played a lot better in his last two seasons with us than he did in his first and most of our Championship rivals would like to have him on their books.
I reckon you've got five good players in that midfield (I'd love to think the recent story of us going for Snodgrass in the summer was true, but I can't see it happening), but McCann over Whittingham? McCann has done really well at Peterborough and I'd say he scores from more free kicks than Whittingham does, but our player has played at a higher level than McCann throughout his career and was voted second best player in this year's Championship for a reason - agree with you that Whittingham is the only one of our players with a chance of selection in the Championship team of the Year though.

You might be right about Hudson , Paul.
I think he might make a good centre forward.
As sure as heck he will never make a good centre BACK.
Tell me something: did I dream that the Championship X1 was recently announced and it featured Chris Burke? Or is this done at the end of the season?
Even if I did dream it, Burke would be the first name on the Coca-Cola 2011-12 team sheet for me, and is a BANKER to make the final Xl.
Not one Bluebird player would make it, though Whittingham would get close.
My 5 man midfield would be Snodgrass, Noble, McCann (Peterborough), Zaha and Burke.
Hope you are well.
Kindest,
Dai
