Your article – as always balanced and hit the nail on the head. I’ve been supporting the City for over 30 years too but it still hurts. Its at times like this where you can see the arguement for ‘hard’ drugs. I cant watch the news or read the papers. My wife said ‘are you really THAT disappointed?’ Yes – if i get through to the world cup the next time it will hit me is when the fixtures come out.

As I’ve mentioned before, I think I am coping with Saturday’s defeat quite well all things considered, but, like you, I can’t bring myself to read about the game yet and, although I’ve nothing against them personally, I’ve already had my fill of elated Blackpool fans being interviewed on television and radio!
